(TJVNEWS.COM) A CNN panel discussed how to pressure cable providers to remove conservative competitor channels like Newsmax and One America News from their platforms.

“Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter asked his guest panel Sunday how the American people could be prevented from watching Newsmax and OAN as their ratings have drastically increased since conservatives began boycotting Fox News

“We are going to have to figure out the OAN and Newsmax problem. These companies have freedom of speech, but I’m not sure we need Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and such bringing them into tens of millions of homes,” former Facebook chief security officer Alex Stamos said.

“We have to turn down the capability of these conservative influencers to reach these huge audiences. There are people on YouTube for example that have a larger audience than daytime CNN. And they are extremely radical and are pushing extremely radical views.”

It is impressive for CNN to admit many YouTube channels are more popular than CNN, however nothing “radical” is allowed on Youtube anymore and content producers are constantly “walking on eggshells” risking demonetization or their channel being banned over even slightly controversial programming. Many content providers have opted out of monetization and rely on their followers donating, while others such as popular NY commentator “Lionel” have built their own subscription channels on their own websites to avoid YouTube censorship.

Stamos lamented over the American people’s freedom to choose their news content.

“It’s a problem because people are able to seek out the information that makes them feel good. People have so much choice now. They can choose what their news sources are, they can choose what influencers they want to follow,” Stamos said.

“And that becomes a huge challenge to figuring out how you bring those people back into the mainstream of fact-based reporting and try to get us all back into the same consensual reality.”

This seems to be a current theme on CNN as of late. Recently as TJV reported(LINK), CNN’s Oliver Darcy wrote an op-ed calling on cable outlets to cancel NewsMax, OAN, and even Fox News.
