Virginia Giuffre, one of the most prominent accusers of late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly took $500k in payments from him
The stunning allegation against Giuffre is contained in a legal filing by high-power attorney Alan Dershowitz, though when and precisely why the money would have changed hands is left unstated, the NY Post reported.
Dershowitz is suing Giuffre for defamation after she accused him of having sex with her when she was Epstein’s sex slave. Giuffre sued him for defamation first when he denied the claims, NY Post reported.
Dershowitz told Page Six why he wants his name public and unredacted in the deposition from Epstein’s onetime girlfriend and sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell,: “I have fought to have all material in the case unsealed, and all names unredacted, so that Giuffre’s outlandish stories … can be exposed for what they are: false. I have nothing to hide, whereas Giuffre does, as the emails and book manuscript that she tried to hide prove that she never met me. Everything in this case should be unsealed.”
Speaking of Giuffre’s case against Dershowitz, this latest filing is part of that defamation action lodged against him by Giuffre.
It cites a transcript of an 80-minute, 2019 telephone call between journalist Sharon Churcher and Manhattan book publisher Tony Lyons, who recorded the conversation — allegedly without Churcher’s knowledge
NY Post reported that in that conversation: Churcher, the reporter who in 2011 published the first interview of Giuffre, claims her subject was “a big spender,” court documents show.
“She’s spent so much money. Because you see, Epstein paid her off,” Churcher told Lyons. “She had settled with Epstein… She’d taken half a million, I think it was.
“Amazingly, she could break her no talking agreement because of the First Amendment. You can’t really settle with anyone,” Churcher added.
Churcher on Epstein: “He had two operations. He was a very sick man in terms of — he loved these schoolgirls giving him erotic massages. Then he had this totally separate thing going where he was basically pimping out beautiful young women to very powerful men,” Churcher said.
