VIN reported that police said that the incident took place just before 1 PM on Sunday at 202 Foster Avenue, with David Gonzalez exposing himself to the victim before throwing her to the floor, covering her mouth and screaming at the girl as she attempted to fight him off and escape. According to the NYPD, the victim had arrived at a cardiology office located within the building on a scooter and she was standing in the hallway waiting for her mother to catch up to her when the incident occurred.

After being unable to subdue his victim Gonzalez fled the scene on a moped, heading west towards McDonald Avenue, as was reported by VIN News.

The teen victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the attack.

Published reports indicate that city council candidate and community activist Heshy Tischler had notified the community of the attempted sexual assault and promised to work with police in apprehending the individual charged in this heinous offense. (VIN)
