President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, insists that the presidential election will be “overturned”. On Sunday the former NYC mayor claimed he has “evidence” that “corrupt machines” deleted millions of votes for Trump — but said he could not yet share the proof.
Giuliani, who has undertaken the post-election legal battle, said in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” that President Trump actually won the key swing states which mainstream media outlets gave to Joe Biden. “In every one of those states, we have more than enough illegal ballots already documented to overturn the result in that state,” Giuliani said, claiming that the mail votes were invalid because observers hadn’t been allowed to watch the counting. “They didn’t allow Republicans in those key places to observe the mail vote. That makes the mail vote completely invalid,” he said.
As reported by the NY Post, Trump’s re-election campaign has filed numerous lawsuits contesting the count in battleground states. Some of those cases have already been thrown out by judges, however, who ruled the claims of fraud are unfounded or “hearsay.” Critics say a recount would have a hard time reversing the election results due to Presidential-hopeful Joe Biden’s towering lead, including his 65,000-vote lead in Pennsylvania, or 146,000-ballot advantage in Michigan. On Friday, Trump’s legal team was already forced to accede to defeat in the state of Arizona.
Nevertheless, Giuliani persists, claiming that they have gathered a sufficient number of affidavits from witnesses who reportedly saw fraud. “We already have enough affidavits from people who were pushed out from being able to observe, so in each one of those states that he lost narrowly, he won those states probably by 2, 3 percent,” he told anchor Maria Bartiromo.
Trump’s team asserts that Dominion Voting Systems, a Canadian voting software company that provided machines used in 28 states, deleted or changed votes. The company, which handled the counting in many of the battleground states, has denied the claim, which has also been shunned by the New York Times and the Associated Press.
Giuliani insisted he could prove the fraud. “We have proof that I can’t disclose yet,” Giuliani said of the “corrupt machines.” “This has to be examined, Maria, beyond this election, which I believe will get overturned,” he added.
Sidney Powell, another member of Trump’s legal team, agreed, telling Bartiromo that “President Trump won by not just hundreds of thousands of votes, but by millions of votes that were shifted by this software that was designed expressly for that purpose”.
