Monday, November 23rd is the opening of an extraordinary historic exhibit of Menorahs dating from the early days of the Renaissance through the Holocaust to today’s artisans and their interpretation of traditions.
The exhibit will feature over 100 Menorahs, in copper, silver, gold, and platinum, that each has a family story to share.
The exhibit, the brainchild of owner Avi Girshengorn, is the first of it’s kind in the United States, and possibly the world. Titled “Bringing Light to The World, a retrospective of the history of Menorahs”, will open on Monday, November 23rd with a special preview night and then open to the public on Tuesday, November 24th. The gallery will be open Monday – Thursday from 11am – 6pm and Friday from 11am – 3pm.
This exhibit features extraordinarily crafted and handcrafted artworks from across the globe. Several come from a private collection and a few are available for purchase.
Come and see the history of Jewish traditions unfolded over a millennium and hear the stories of many of the pieces, where they came from, and of the families who treasured and protected them for future generations.
