It Can…Is…Happening Here

Dear Editor:

When I visited the US Holocaust Memorial Museum twenty years ago, I noticed a little boy standing next to me, wearing his oversized Orthodox hat, silently staring at the exhibit with his big, dark brown eyes.  A Jewish woman’s clothing is ripped from her, as she runs screaming down the street, others rounded up while the mob yells, ‘dirty Jews.’ My heart ached for this innocent little boy having to take on the burden of the Holocaust.

Yet here we are in 2020, with instances of violence and hatred against Jews, demonization of Zionists, world wide and at home, beyond what is possible to list. Combat Anti-Semitism: “Paris- Jewish man, beaten unconscious,called ‘dirty Jewish son of a whore, you’re a dead man; Swastikas painted on Orthodox synagogue in Harrisburg, PA;  England- Jewish man, called “filthy Jew,” battered, left unable to see out of one eye; Arsonist torches Jewish Center at Univ. of Delaware; “Free Palestine” spray painted, synagogue, Kenosha, WI; Tel Aviv- Jewish man stabbed to death by “Palestinian”; 30 graves damaged at Jewish cemetery in S. Africa; “No Jews Allowed” scrawled on French St. named for Holocaust survivor; Qatar’s school curriculum promotes antisemitism;

Academic study warns of ‘alarming’ antisemitism among muslim refugees in Austrian City where Jewish leader was attacked; “The Jews want a race war” banner hanging on an overpass in L.A; Synagogue of the American Revolution, Phil, defaced with antisemitic graffiti; Chief Rabbi Munich attacked by Muslims, shouting derogatory remarks; Last year, a rabbi & his two sons were spit on, verbally attacked as they left a Munich synagogue; Desecration of Memorial to Murdered Jews in French Village; World Zionist Org., “Anti-Semitic incidents have become part of the daily routine Jews around the world are going through.”

What would you say if I told you Jews can no longer walk to Sabbath services at Beth Israel Congregation, Michigan, without being verbally assaulted.  ZOA, “every week antisemitic, anti-Israel “protesters” place 18-20 signs outside the synagogue, “Resist Jewish Power,” “Jewish Power Corrupts,” “End the Palestinian Holocaust,” &  “Zionism is Racism.”  U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts dismissed the counter lawsuit which would have protected both First Amendment rights to protest, and the right to “freely worship without fear.” She rejected placing “reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions on the protesters by ordering they take place physically further away from the synagogue, or at a time that does not coincide with times of prayers.”

All Jews, Zionists or not, “are about to learn they are the problem.” Anti-Zionism is just an excuse for the latest “flavor” of centuries old Jew hate. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Lifting the Veil

Dear Editor:

Kudos to YD Homnick on his article lifting the veil on the policy of the Agudath Israel’s policy of political duplicity.

600 so called Jewish organizations put an ad in the New York Times supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. Not one Jewish organization that I know of, put out an ad in any paper supporting Blue Lives Matter or President Trump, albeit the wide support from the Jewish public for the latter. The only exception is this newspaper – the true voice of the people, also known as The Jewish Voice.

Get Out of Jail Card – Issue a Fake Apology

Dear Editor:

How to pretend you’re not a bigot? Issue an apology when you’re caught, then continue on. Canary Mission exposed American Muslims for Palestine, who are behind antisemitic Students for Justice in Palestine, for using Holocaust imagery, in an educational video, “Set the Record Straight.” AMP promoted to national positions: Neveen Ayesh, “I hate Jews, I hate Israelis, just become extinct, #Animals.” Mohamad Habehh, “How many jews can you fit in a VW Beetle? 54-2 in the front, 2 in the back, 50 in the ashtray.”  How many fake apologies does it take to insult our collective intelligence? One is more than enough.

Doomed to Repeat History

Dear Editor:

How did totalitarian fascist regimes throughout history begin? NYC-Crime surging, shootings doubled. DC- Black Lives Matter threaten diners, demand they raise their fists; call “people who don’t “a white supremacist.”  ‘The Progressives’ Inner Totalitarianism is Showing More by the Day,’ “Display your wokeness, and the baseball stadiums won’t go up in flames…every house in his neighborhood had put Black Lives Matter signs on the lawn, “You got a nice house, mister. Would be a shame if it turned out to be owned by a “racist.” The BLM signs on the lawn are the modern American equivalent of Chinese having photos of Xi or Germans during the Nazi era, having Mein Kampf prominently displayed in their homes…it was a prudent thing to have if one cared about one’s safety and didn’t want the boot on one’s face. The advance of totalitarianism in America has been swift and total.”

Power to the people? I’ll pass on this fascist fist in my face.
