Can’t Stand Trump’s “Lies”
Dear Editor:
I am a lover of Israel and proud member of the Jewish people. However, that does not mean that we have to delude ourselves and throw out lies like the president does.
You mention the Clintons’ message and completely ignore Trump’s cavorting with whores, continuous lies and filthy mouth (grab them by the —-, shi— countries, etc. )
Do you not have an obligation to tell the truth? At what cost are you prepared to accept his support of Israel in order to accept all his lies?
Doesn’t the fact that several Republicans that have come out against him & his lies mean anything to you? This reminds me of the cult similar to Stalinism. Have some Jewish pride and stand up for the truth!!
Sincerely

Obama is Worried About our Democracy…So Am I
Dear Editor:
Obama is worried about our democracy. So am I. I am worried about the Orwellian disconnect between lofty speeches and reality. He worries about the safety of “peaceful protesters” while BLM, Antifada, attack police, loot, and intimidate citizens, turn major cities into boarded up, deserted wastelands. “200 people, dressed in black and masked, rioted in Northeast Portland in residential areas where they pointed lights into the windows of homes and chanted “Out of your house, into the streets. What Lives Matter? Black Lives Matter!” Portland Mayor Wheeler, (D), “condemned the violence, following an attack on East Precinct, “When you commit arson with an accelerant in an attempt to burn down a building that is occupied by people who you have intentionally trapped inside, you are not demonstrating, you are attempting to commit murder…This is not peaceful protests.” In Chicago, a night of looting left 13 officers injured and caused damage in the Magnificent Mile. “This was straight up, felony criminal conduct. This was an assault on our city” said Black Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot. July 4th–BLM stormed a residential area in Beverly Hills, shouted “eat the rich”, “abolish capitalism now”, tore down American flags.
Obama said,…”our mission is to fight for a future equal to the ideals of our founders…that is the guiding purpose of House Democrats.” Sound lofty? Here’s the reality: “ZOA is horrified, alarmed by, and condemns the roles given to notorious antisemites, Israel-haters and Farrakhan-lovers at the Democratic National Convention which included Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, Imam Noman Hussain, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pastor Frederick Haynes.” And this–“Radicals Target Statues of the Virgin Mary in New York, Boston. Democrat leader Pelosi says, “I don’t care about statues” and “people do what they do…”
“BLM in their own words, “We are talking about alternatives to capitalism”, Alicia Garza, BLM co-founder. “We actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia [Garza] we’re trained organizers, trained Marxists”, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors. “If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. BLM activist Hank Newsome, “We are anti-capitalist…Black people will never achieve liberation under the current global racialized capitalist system.”
Democracy is fragile. It may not survive but for reasons other than those cited by Obama. A crippling pandemic, this mob’s violent, socialist totalitarian agenda, who use “racism” to mask their real agenda of taking down America’s democracy, taking what you own as “reparations”, giving anti-Zionist, anti the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel, a loud voice, will be democracy’s ultimate downfall.
Sincerely

What Michelle Obama Didn’t Say
Dear Editor:
What Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention didn’t say, says it all. Not a word of regret for House Speaker Pelosi and her Democrat majority giving a coveted seat on the House Foreign Relations Committee to Omar, a BDS supporter, whose antisemitic slurs disgrace us all. Not a word about Kamala Harris’ Chief of Staff Karine Jean-Pierre, a radical Israel-hater, and senior advisor for the anti Zionist, Soros funded MoveOn.org. And no apologies to us on behalf of her fellow Dems, whose silence is complicity.
Mrs. Obama says, “when they go low, we go high.” You can’t get much lower than the resurgence of Farrakhan’s Jew hate in the Black community, by celebrities, sports figures, entertainers, and by the head of the NAACP in Philadelphia. Not a word condemning this, despite Jewish Americans being traditionally loyal, strong supporters of the Dems and civil rights.
She decried the police using “rubber bullets onto peaceful protesters.” Peaceful? Maybe Michelle needs to get out more. Major cities resemble war zones, murder rates are soaring. BLM and Antifada stormed a Seattle neighborhood, harassing residents, demanding they “get the f*** out”, “open your purse.” Chicago’s Ronald McDonald House, a cancer facility providing shelter to families, had its doors smashed by this mob, while terrified families huddled together inside. Looting and violence were so bad the bridges and expressways in downtown Chicago closed. Even Jesse Jackson condemned the looting spree. But not a word from Michelle about looting, and violence, in the name of “racism.” Not one word of support for the great majority of police officers who perform their dangerous jobs with dignity, restraint and courage.
$1.7 trillion are in the endowments of nonprofit organizations in America, plus millions more poured into BLM. But not a word about Black “leaders” who have failed miserably by perpetuating victimhood, instead of demanding the statistically disproportionate amount of criminality, drug dealing, school drop outs, culture of lawlessness of inner city Black youths and men, the acceptance of this as the norm, stop.
In her husband’s comprehensive speech on race, he said “a more perfect United States required African Americans taking full responsibility for our own lives…by demanding more from our fathers, spending more time with our children, reading to them, and teaching them that while they may face challenges and discrimination in their own lives, they must never succumb to despair or cynicism; they must always believe that they can write their own destiny.”
If going “high” means exposing hard truths, asking for accountability for one’s choices and behaviors, despite obstacles, and rejecting this mob’s intimidation and violence, then I’m in.
Sincerely
Jeff Weissblum
