National Institute of Health director Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that lives could have been saved had President Trump shut down the nation in February, however on Febuary 29th the last day of the month Fauci appeared on NBC today Show – dismissing the severity of the COVID-19 outbreak and the notion the U.S. should be temporarily shut down to mitigate the virus spread – even advising Trump against imposing travel restrictions to and from China in January.
“Right now, at this moment, there is no need to change anything that you’re doing on a day-by-day basis,” Fauci said on the Today show. “Right now, the risk is still low. But this could change”
When asked by rabid anti-Trump CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday why the Trump administration didn’t lock down the nation sooner, Fauci suggested Trump didn’t listen to his advice.
“We look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not. But it is what it is. We are where we are right now,” Fauci said on CNN Sunday.
It would appear that the good doctor is lying, after watching what he said on February 29th

The tweet was originally from DeAnna Lorraine, a pro-Trump congressional candidate ran an unsuccessful open primary challenge to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
