Jona Rechnitz Spotted Schmoozing with Kim Kardashian at Los Angeles Soiree

By: Antone Pagoni

Video reportedly shows an informant rubbing elbows with the ultimate celebrity, Kim Kardashian.

Jona Rechnitz, a one-time fundraiser for Mayor Bill de Blasio, is said to be seen schmoozing with Kardashian at a soiree held at a Los Angeles hotel in November.

Also allegedly in the video was Hai Waknine, an Israeli racketeer.

Rechnitz, “a former New York City real-estate investor, now runs the celeb-friendly Jadelle Beverly Hills jewelry business that sponsored the Nov. 20 “Holiday Diamond Showcase” and charity event at the five-star Bel-Air Hotel,” according to the New York Post. Manhattan federal prosecutors have called Rechnitz “one of the single most important and prolific white-collar cooperating witnesses in the recent history of the Southern District of New York” for spilling his guts at three recent corruption trials.”

Rechnitz’s testimony “helped lead to convictions and prison sentences for his former pals Murray Huberfeld, founder of the Platinum Partners hedge fund, Jeremy Reichberg and former corrections union chief Norman Seabrook,” the Post’s Bruce Golding reported. “Rechnitz, 37, faces up to 20 years in prison for his role in the conspiracy, which included lavishing de Blasio with political donations and treating NYPD cops to gifts that included an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas, complete with a private plane staffed by a hooker in a flight-attendant outfit.”

Rechnitz was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Yeshiva University in New York City, according toeveripedia.org. He began his career at Africa Israel Investments before leaving in 2010 to form his own real estate company, JSR Capital. “In 2013, a federal inquiry into New York City mayor Bill de Blasio’s fundraising activity and corruption among top law enforcement officials in the city was launched. Rechnitz and Jeremiah Reichberg were suspected of funneling thousands of dollars through De Blasio’s 2013 mayoral campaign fund and bribing police commanders.”

“Remember Jona Rechnitz? The disgraced businessman and major donor to Mayor Bill de Blasio delivered explosive testimony in 2017 that his money bought him a direct line to City Hall and a slew of favors,” reported politico.com. “De Blasio was quick to deny just about every word that came out of Rechnitz’s mouth. “Jona Rechnitz is a liar and a felon,” he said at the time.”

The one-time real estate developer’s testimony “was pivotal in the corruption trials for the head of the city correction officers’ union and NYPD officials. The glowing letter from the feds went on, the Wall Street Journal reports: “Rechnitz has been, without exaggeration, one of the single most important and prolific white collar cooperating witnesses in the recent history of the Southern District of New York,” said politico.com.
