Rare is the politician, once elected, who keeps his promises made on the campaign trail. Kudos, then, to Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, who not only attended the opening of the brand new American Embassy in Jerusalem, but recently returned home from a major business and trade trip to Israel where he warmed the hearts of those Jews who voted for him. Sadly, Jews in Florida, many of whom are Jewish-umbilical-cord Democrats, only supported him with 30% of their votes. But, he won and now he is keeping his pre-election promise, to all Jews and Christian Zionists, no matter their political preference, of, “Being the most pro-Israel governor in the country,” if elected. He meant what he said and we are proud of him.

During his visit to the Jewish homeland, DeSantis signed a memorandum of understanding between Florida Atlantic University and Ariel University that was attended by one of America’s foremost benefactors of the Jewish people and Israel, the Adelson’s, Sheldon and Miriam. We must also applaud the giant law and lobbying firms, Gray Robinson and Greenberg Traurig for accompanying The Governor together with such notables as Lothar and Carlyn Mayer, members of the Florida Realtors Association and Simon and Jana Falic, the owners of the international firm, Duty Free America.,whose retail stores are located throughout the world in airports and seaports.
Other sponsors include, MCNA Dental Plans, Geeks and Nerds, a cybersecurity and software company, Visit Florida, which is the state’s tourism arm, Israel Bonds and Tellus, an electronic healthcare provider. All of these people and their representatives made the trip on their own dime. They paid their way!! They were there with DeSantis throughout the trip to make and reinforce business and personal connections that would benefit the citizens of both lands, America and Israel. With the Radical Left pushing for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement against Israel, these notables signaled that they will help to ensure that Israel will remain economically and financially sound. Kudos to this group. We suggest you use and patronize their businesses when you need their services or products.
The names of these above individuals and their firms will now be targeted by those enemies of both DeSantis and Israel. Leave it to the far-left leaning Miami Herald to quote a critic of the trip, thusly: “I understand governors like to go to foreign countries for trade missions, and that’s fine but they shouldn’t be taking money from industries in our state, even if it’s disguised as Enterprise Florida.” We say, nonsense! Governor De Santis is merely doing his job in strengthening Florida’s business community which currently enjoys nearly full employment and shovels in billions of tax dollars to keep Florida in the black. Shame on those who demean the governor’s efforts to “reduce the daylight between America and Israel.” And kudos to those individuals who traveled with him and chipped in for the trip. May G-d bless them and their efforts.
